Autumn Findings

Go for a walk and collect as many conkers as possible. Talk about the sights and sounds, and how nature changes in autumn.
When you are back home, create a picture using what you have collected Glue everything in groups and encourage your child to count the number of leaves/ conkers in each group. To start off with have no more than five in a group. Follow up ideas When your child is comfortable counting up to five, you can extend this up to ten. You can also write down the number of acorns next to each group on the sheet of paper.
