This game allows your child to get involved in a creative activity while
teaching them about shapes, colour, sorting and matching.
Cut a wide, slim rectangle into each of the three shoes boxes, big enough
to post a small letter.
Paint each of the shoe boxes a different colour, use red, blue and yellow.
You could decorate the boxes in coloured paper instead of using paint.
Cut out three square shapes from the white card, about 3 inches each side.
Draw a red triangle in the first white square and stick this card to the red box.
Draw a yellow circle on the second white square and stick this to the yellow box.
Draw a blue square on the third white square and stick this to the blue box.
Now make up more cards showing the red triangle, the yellow circle and the blue
square. About three of each will be enough.
Now your child is ready to play the sorting post-game. Give your child the various
cards of coloured shapes and get them to post the cards in the right box.
