A Little Sense

Skill: In creative development we focus on the creative side of your child, and letting them use their imagination. Your child needs to explore, experiment and play with objects and noises around them. This activity A little sense, helps your child develop responses to their five senses.

Provide your child with three or four different
fruits e.g. apple, banana, orange, pear.
Get them to feel the texture and smell the fruit.
Cut open the fruit and look at the inside.
Again let them feel, smell and this time taste.
    Talk about the experience.

This activity can be extended by letting them
smell and feel a selection of herbs such
    as parsley, mint or thyme.
