Climbing Cushions

Skill: Physical development helps fine tune both your child’s gross, and fine motor skills. It is also very important in strengthening muscles, controlling the body and co-ordination. This activity Climbing cushions, helps your child with co-ordination actions, enabling them to move around a space on their bottom, back, feet, tummies, hands and knees.

  1. Take a couple of cushions and pile them
on the floor. Put your baby in front of the
cushions and allow him to climb. You
could tempt him to climb by placing a
    favourite toy on the top.

    This activity encourages the development
of the large motor muscles needed for
    crawling and walking.
